Abstract

The concordance of linguistic criteria with those of a sociocultural nature generates typical structures of linguistic behaviour or resistance to interference. At the level of identity, Polish students have a well-defined identity and linguistic awareness within the host society. Regarding the sociolinguistic perspective, Polish students show positive (socio-) linguistic attitudes towards the acquired Romanian language and enthusiasm towards learning the Romanian language and its use, exposing their integrative orientation of the Romanian language acquisition approach.
